Okay, so it is time for another design post. I have been in such decorating/design mode lately. It is so hard finding time to do that kind of stuff because when Lillie is napping and in bed at night I have to work. It is definitely what I love to do most, though, and so when I get in these moods I feel like I just have to mess around with something in our house! So, when Lillie is awake she has been my little helper - haha! I am really not sure how much she appreciates it, but oh well! We had our bathroom painted on Thursday - I coudn't pull the trigger on the grayish purple and just went with a medium gray called Stormy Monday. I love it! Lillie and I (and even Jon on Saturday) have been scavenging about town the past few days trying to find a mirror to go above the sink along with some other little accessories for the bathroom. I was about to give up and just get something kind of blah, but then we found the most perfect mirror at the antique mall! I cannot tell you how excited I was! Anyway, I am hoping to have it all finished in there by next weekend and once I do I will share some pictures and then it will be on to the garage! We have also been playing around with some stuff in our living room and family room, so when I get those right I will add some pictures of those rooms as well.
Most nights when I am sewing, I watch HGTV. Jon and I have a few shows we watch together during the week and then he normally falls asleep and I watch a decorating show (or two or three). I have a few guilty pleasure shows I watch, too, but I don't know if I want to admit those on here =). There are really only three shows I truly love on HGTV. There are two or three others that I enjoy, as well, but not like the main three. I love Divine Design. I mean how can you beat Candice Olson? Her rooms always blow me away. I also love Dear Genevieve. I love her style and how she can do such beautiful work on a budget. But my new favorite is Sarah's House! I watched it last season and fell in love with her spaces! I got so excited when her newest season started! Sarah Richardson is a Canadian designer and is so incredibly talented and everything she does is just gorgeous. Here she is along with some of her spaces:
Hope you all have a wonderful Monday and don't forget to check back. We will be hosting another giveaway either tomorrow or Wednesday!
