Home Office/Studio

Jon and I have been considering moving for the past several months. Although our home is still the perfect size for our family, we are quickly running out of space for Dear Lillie. I have several different spaces throughout the house devoted to different parts of Dear Lillie but no true office or studio space. Because of this, we started looking at some homes that had more space. After spending the past few months hunting, and being reminded just how expensive Williamsburg is, we have decided to stay put for another year. (We have moved 5 out of the last 6 years - yuck!) We are both quite happy with our decision, because the thought of moving again does not sound like fun, but we still needed to figure out a solution to the problem of our growing business. We had thought about turning our guest room into my office/studio but as we have guests so often and our home isn't terribly large it is nice having a space for them. And as we are hoping to add to our family in the not too distant future we will need that to probably turn into a nursery, eventually. So, we have decided we are going to rent a storage space and move all of our junk from the garage there and turn the garage into my workspace (well, that is the plan, anyway =).... I want to paint the walls and transfer our living room rug out there and really set it up as a fun and relaxing space to work in. I am hoping we will get to work on it sometime in late May and once it is done I will post photos (as long as it turns out okay). What is not to LOVE about this space??? This is one of my absolute FAVORITES!

Okay, so my garage is not exactly going to end up looking like this, haha, but isn't it beautiful? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the wall color. We are also about to paint our master bathroom and I think I am going to paint it a similar color. Our master bedroom is a dark charcoal color and I think it would flow really well.
